Too early for that announcement. Hopefully, the price is still at US$999 (or lower). I need to upgrade from my S7 edge!
Well they figured that if people are willing to spend that much on an iPhone why not on a Galaxy Note? Hahahaha
Leak from Indonesia... Retail prices and color options of Galaxy Note9 revealed in pre-order poster | Hardware Zone
Most people will buy the 128gb for php56k. I say that price point is justifiable. But the 512gb variant at Php76k!? That will be a hard sell for Samsung, considering the memory is expandable and for most people 128gb is more than enough.
Pre-order starts tomorrow, August 11, but got this from Smart's Facebook page: This is just similar to last year's Note 8. Still, #forexsucks.
DeX without a dock is interesting... Does this mean we can use our Macbook Pro dongles on the Note 9 for DeX? (sorry, haven't seen Samsung's presentation yet)
Reports say that Samsung PH will include a 32in HDTV, and 2 years warranty for pre orders for the 512 GB variant. If you can sell the TV for around 10-12k, then you can cut the price down to 65k or below. Paying 10k more from the 128 GB model, you get the Note9 that’s 1 TB ready with 8 GB RAM, plus 2 years warranty that I think is great since this phone, especially the 512 GB variant, should last you more than 2 years based on its specs.
I used to be Note fan. Seeing the specs and features of the Note 9 makes me want to buy one again. But thinking back the horrendous customer service I got from Samsung when my Note 5 had an issue, I’m still ain’t buying any samsung product. In summary my Note 5 was overheating, had it repaired 2x already, then It was overheating again. That’s when I decided I don’t want them to repair my phone anymore. It’s either they replace them with a new one or refund me my money. They refused. I escalated, they still refused. I wrote a complaint email to Samsung, they still refused and even gave me a bs reason now that my phone is no longer in warranty. Of course it’s no longer in warranty when they responded but when I brought it in their service center it was still within warranty. That’s when I decided to escalate it to DTI. Had a meeting with Samsung representative together with a remediator from DTI. And that’s the only time Samsung agreed to refund me my money! Still took a month for them to give me the check.
