I was pleasantly surprised at how well this movie was made. The story really made you think and the cast was perfect. Watch this movie if you want to be entertained. :D

yep good movie, Question: is the Icarus mission to Mars spaceship the one Mark Wahlberg was in in the 2001 movie?

Is this movie somewhat a sequel or related to the movie "Planet of the apes"?

The movie is a prequel, a sort of origin-story to what exactly happened in how the apes became hyper intelligent.

It should be. Leo Davidson (Wahlberg) disappeared near Mars in 2029 when he was aboard the Oberon Space Station heading for the red planet. The timeline would've been consistent although Davidson would not be back for another 3000 years!

LOL, same as mankind's cure to cancer that led to the rise of whatever creatures in I Am Legend.

    Lesson: Medical breaktroughs = BAD
