For whatever reason, my iTunes got corrupted causing me to totally trash it and hoping I could just reinstall it. I downloaded a full version at the Apple site (6.0.4) but when I try installing it, all the elements including iTunes were "greyed" out and tells me there is nothing to install. Is there something I am doing wrong? I trashed all iTunes related files already. :(

Did you delete the iTunes.pkg and iTunesX.pkg (Library/Receipts) files too? This usually does the trick for me.

Did you reboot before trying to reinstall?

Dennis, this happened to me too, just last week. Was trying to install an update of iView Media Pro, and it kept telling me there was nothing to install when there obviously was. Been trying to figure it out, and have done everything I can think of. No dice pa din. I have a feeling we're dealing with the same bug.
