Tested it on my phone. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong but turning it on ironically made the browsing experience worse. Turned it off and websites were back to being snappy.

I'm keeping it off for now and try again every now and then.

Tried WARP+ and it's laughably slow in its infancy. It could be good enough for most people after they iron out the kinks.

In my experience using Guardian Firewall here locally, both Singapore and Taiwan servers (which we get routed to since the app bases it on the system timezone and not location) have been pretty slow, but Tokyo is good surprisingly. Until they ship the next update fulfilling the promises of giving us a way to manually select a server of our liking, a way to change your server to Tokyo is to manually set your timezone to Tokyo and reset your configuration within the Guardian Firewall app.

Either way, this one is shaping up to be my favourite hybrid VPN app since it's the only one to really block trackers not just in websites but even within apps. It's difficult to go back when you see it blocked location/data/mail trackers thousands of times. A deal-breaker would have been a slow connection when connected to Guardian, but thankfully the Tokyo server has been fantastic. The value of the subscription would increase exponentially if they just release the same app on Mac. I care not if it ends up a mere Catalyst app, it may be good enough for me to stop using Little Snitch.

Bumping this up. What VPNs do muggers prefer now? I’ve got getflix but it doesn’t really work for me when trying to view US Netflix. Looking to try something that works.
Expressvpn? Keepsolid has a $39 lifetime subscription offer at the moment, but is it any good?

I tried StrongVPN, Getflix VPN and Nord VPN. Hands down ExpressVPN is the fastest.

For weeks now ExpressVPN is not working with Netflix. Netflix also has a new way to deal with VPN users. If the VPN is detected by Netflix, the titles that you can see on the main screen are mostly Netflix originals which are available globally.

What litmus test do you guys use to verify that you have full Netflix US access?

Are you using the VPN feature? I'm using the ExpressVPN DNS only on AppleTV and it works with US Netflix. If I use the Xbox or Sony's TV app, Netflix detects the DNS. Netflix sometimes detects Amazon Firestick when VPN is on from time to time.

The VPN feature. I use it for Netflix Japan/Korea.

I've been testing WeVPN for the past two weeks and I find it very promising. You guys should check it out. The team is very active on Discord too so it's quite easy to sort issues out.

To those making suggestions, do make a distinction if it's only for single-device access or if it can be setup for whole-network access.

Single-device access - You typically install an app, agent, or plugin on each device you want connected to the VPN.
    - This works for your individual devices like PCs, Macs, Android, iOS, etc.
    - Does not work on most smart TVs and set-top boxes like Roku, including game consoles

Whole-network access - You'll need a router that supports connecting to the respective VPN service. For this, you'll need to either purchase a ready-made, plug-n-play router from them, configure the settings manually on your router yourself, or run a script on select supported devices to turn that router into a VPN gateway . In other words, any device connected to this router's LAN ports are automatically routed through the VPN.
    - This works on ANY device as long as they're connected to this router

Personally, I use three types of VPN:
    1. StrongVPN - It's both a single-device and a whole-network VPN service. The latter is configured by running a script on a dedicated DD-WRT router behind my main firewall. Any device that joins this router's network, wired or wireless, would automatically be "teleported" to the US. It also has an app for most platforms like iOS, Android, PC and Mac. I use this when I'm not at home and need to stream US content. I pay for this service annually.

    2. VPN Unlimited - This is for single-device VPN access for up five (5) registered devices. It's a backup to StrongVPN and is less reliable when it comes to streaming content from the US. What I like about it though is that I can easily change VPN servers on the fly. This was a one-time, lifetime subscription.

    3. OpenVPN to my home firewall - This has nothing to do with streaming content. This does three things; First, I can use my home router's filtering even when I'm outside. Second, it affords me a bit more privacy, especially when connecting through public WiFi networks or even while just using the office network. It also helps to get around most censorship and the local telco filters. Finally, I am able to manage my home network remotely. I don't have to pay anything for this.

If you won't use it to stream, you can get the free tier from ProtonVPN and Windscribe. You can also get Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 iOS app.
