I can verify that Ironsocket.com VPN and ExpressVPN currently work with Netflix US. You need to connect to a particular server location to work. Netflix US only works when using their VPN services, not their DNS proxy services.
I'm still using PlaymoTV on Netflix US. It works on Mac, iOS, Windows, Apple TV. Doesn't work on Xbox One though.
really? playmo TV's help webpage even says that they no longer support US Netflix. I tried using their dns on my apple tv earlier this afternoon and it didn't work. lucky you! ☺
Yeah, I read that too. They even sent emails about it. Maybe at some point, it will get to them, but they still announced it earlier.
is VPN solution the only way to have a reliable US Netflix fix nowadays? (besides Playmo) If they announced in their site, they'll probably gave up. Any DNS based solutions there? I actually prefer DNS based since its the fastest.
Check out Getflix. So far, so good - although there are occasional instances when their US Netflix servers experience some down time.
Hi guys. I'm new to VPN. If I subscribe to one, will there be any conflict with my Apple express? Thanks.
We have GetFlix and we're using a Time Capsule and we have all Macs and iOS devices at home. So no issues I think for Apple Airport Express. For me though, I added the VPN addresses on our load balancer (not on the Time Capsule).
You won't be changing any settings on your AirPort Express. Unless you have one of the more advanced routers, VPN will be configured and enabled on a per-device basis. Some VPNs will require manual configuration (they all have step-by-step instructions and won't be too hard to follow) and others just need an app (like ExpressVPN).
Generally, yes. However, I could no longer connect to the US version of Netflix yet again. Waiting for them to fix it.
It looks like Netflix started again their blocking process. https://www.getflix.com.au/netflix-update
