Anyone using ExpressVPN or PIA (Private Internet Access) here? It seems to be consistently among the top VPNs reviewed.

I can no longer use my Unblock-Us SmartDNS with PLDT because apparently, my new DSL line now goes through a transparent proxy cache based on tests I made with Unblock-Us

I'm a huge fan of Cloak for iOS and OS X. I've been using it since launch for its simplicity and smooth integration. It automatically connects to the VPN from any Wi-Fi network except the ones you trust. It's the perfect solution if you're just worried about using unsecure public Wi-Fi hotspots.

Private Internet Access is the one to go.

Are you currently using PIA with our local ISPs? How's the speed? I'm seriously considering PIA vs ExpressVPN because of the price but I've read some say it's not very fast here in the Philippines

Astrill is still fast on Smart LTE/PLDT for me. (Referral link)

I tried ExpressVPN and VyprVPN before. Not as good as my experience with Astrill. I think you should avail of the trial periods before subscribing so you will know how the VPN services fare.

After reading this thread, I decided to subscribe to PIA. What is your take on unlimited VPN subscriptions?

I was never a techie, nor do I ever wanted to get in this rigmarole of opting for a VPN. I always found them to be a bit tricky. But the interface of Ivacy is very simple and easy to use, and I have been using it for almost 6 months now and can surely endorse it as the best and the most, easy, secure and private VPN software that I have used so far!

Got a Getflix lifetime subscription (technically, it is only 30 years) via Cult Of Mac deals for $39. Got to test Hulu last night and streaming was very good.

Comparing it to my 3-year VPN Unlimited subscription (1 year and 10 months left), this is way better for me. Getflix uses SmartDNS, although they also offering traditional VPN without additional cost to my subscription. But for the most part, SmartDNS is all that I need.

Btw, deal expires in an hour. (referral link)

Does vpn unlimited work on hulu & netflix? Can't seem to get it work. Got unlimited plan but I've retained unblock-us just for VOD services.

I'm using OpenVPN. No cost but you have to have your own server.

I have a lifetime account with VPN Unlimited and it's been working fine for me for Netflix and PBS (haven't tried Hulu). Up to five devices can use it at any time. My premium Netflix account allows up to four users.

How's the paid vpn services nowadays? There was news a while back that netflix started cracking down on subscribers using vpn services.
