We have individual threads for films here but I'd like to know the type of films you watch and how you rate them.

I just finished watching Her. I am at awe. Beautiful movie. Now officially my favourite movie in the last three years.

    I don't think it's for everyone though.

22 Jump Street - 7.5 ( Better than the first)
The Machinist ( Old indie film starring Christian Bale pre Batman) - 8/10 ( edgy psychological thriller with a twist in the end. Christian Bale looking more like Palito than Batman).

22 Jump Street is a ROLF, trippy, slapstick movie that - I think - delved deeper into the characters without losing touch of the first movie. Maybe I'm just shallow, but my ribs were hurting half of the time because of continuous laughing. A better watch if you watched the first installment. The duo of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is, well, they just jell together, they have great on-screen chemistry. These two should work more.

    8/10, would watch again.

    Noah - 5/10

The Raid 2: Berandal is as wild and as entertaining as its predecessor, if not better. Every turn of the camera is a wonderful mess of violence and gore; there was never a dull moment all throughout the film. These said, it's like the Asian version of The Expendables, or maybe a one-man army flick with Chuck Norris as lead star.

    8/10, would watch again.

    Dom Hemingway - 2/5

It lacked story and sense. The only thing cool about it is Jude Law (Dom Hemingway) and his tirades.

Its a 1985 japanese comedy film about their obsession with ramen. Its a collage of different stories that intersected throughout the film with guess what? Highly recommended especially for Ramen Otakus.

    Starring the young Ken Watanabe

Mmm......Transformers Age of Extinction - 8/10. Okay naman. At 165 minutes long, I did not yawn. Must have been the coffee/milk tea/chocolate/popcorn/potato chips and hopia that helped even though it was a near-midnight screening.

Transformers ..Extinction... - 7/10 Arrived late and wasn't able to pee before, movie had lots of commercials as the bimby/ryzza movie that I was able to sneak out to the toilet without missing out on the story...don't care much about the story, just the effects... and Tessa. But why would the enemy, with all the technology at their disposal make a vacuum cleaner/blower weapon?.. Was excited to see the original Optimus Gen 1 truck in the beginning. Too bad it was messed up. Would have been great to see it in the original red colored restored glory, and with the original transformation pattern. Series needs a total reboot.
