What's new in this version: - QuickTime 7.5 improves application compatibility and addresses security issues. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ word of warning, though. don't forget to quit all running apps and repair disk permissions (as well as other maintenance scripts if you wish) before and after updating QT. it may be advisable to download the standalone installer on the link i provided. in my case, i was lazy, just ran software update and ended up with a non-running QT (and possibly other correlated apps). even DiskUtility won't run. i resolved the issue by reinstalling the combo updater and running all maintenance scripts upon restart.
