I have been enjoying using a Mac for more than a month now. Everything seems a lot faster compared to a PC.

The only problem I have is that it cannot login properly to my BDO Online account. It gives me a a Sun Java System Application Server - HTTP Status 500 Error. Message: Action[/loginRibUser] does not contain method named loadRibLogin.

I would like to know if there is a workaround for this problem on Safari. I know I have an option of loading Firefox or Chrome but I would only do this once I have exerted all efforts of fixing this is in Safari.

    Thanks guys.

Hay nako. I've complained about this to BDO.

I can connect to it using the current version of Firefox to check my balance, but encounter problems trying to pay my enrolled Globe account. When I click confirm nothing happens.

They say their site is designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 2.0 and advised me to use those instead.
I said these are OUTDATED and INSECURE browsers, and to continue to use them creates a security risk for your users.

They said they'll look at it. This was six months ago and nothing has happened since.

Anyone here from BDO? Attention please.

    Leo

    hi sir,

banks are known to be very conservative with upgrading their back-end platforms. they are the perfect model for, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" slogan.

from my observation, BPI is the most aggressive bank in terms of adapting technologies (not as fast as telcos though, of course :) )

OT: @RRM0221, thank you for your response to my PM.

I have always used Safari logging in to my BDO acct.

My experience is that after typing my User Name then Password then pressing Enter, I would encounter problems. What I do is to point the cursor to the Login button then click, I have never encountered any problem doing this method.

I have not tried paying bills using BDO online, but I transfer funds from my Savings to my Checking Account. I encounter no problem whatsoever both using my MB and my iPhone.

PS: Remember to allow pop ups, the BDO does state that you have to allow pop ups.

Hope you guys will now be successful using Safari on BDO Online Banking.

like Maxx, I click on the Login button instead of using the Enter key and have no problems with logging in, paying bills (Globe, Citi, EWB, BDO) and transferring funds to a 3rd party account. Been using BDO internet banking on Safari for over a year already.

One thing I've noticed is when trying to view transactions, you can view current day's transactions by clicking on the acct # link found on the portfolio page. Using the View Transactions function will not include the current date's credits & debits.

I don't have any problems as well using Safari 4.0.3

Make sure you uncheck the "block pop-up windows," and log-in by clicking the log-in bar instead of pressing enter.

Yeah, I have problems with any browser on my Mac, whether it be Firefox or Safari when banking with BDO online. I just fire up VMWare and use IE instead.

I haven't encountered this problem. I tried both browser safari and firefox it works fine for me. except when i entered wrong password.

One of their security feature i don't like is they required to change your password every month i think or every 3 months.

This problems exist up to now. I did actually installed lower version of firefox on my parallel just to be able to use their website.

BPI will last for 6 months for the login password to be renewed. BDO allows you to enjoy immediate enrollment of your utilities and phone reloading services w/o the hassles of waiting for days.
