Just noticed this problem last night.. My Mac isn't charging! I was playin' last night (PS3) when i noticed that my mac just keeps on goin into sleep mode 2 - 3 times, then i noticed my charger indicator isn't lit (green or yellow).. I tried to unplug it then plug it again but to no avail... Can't figure out what just happened.. Any ideas with this kind of problem? Can't say if the problem is with the charger or my mac itself.. Please help me guys.. thanks in advance..:p

First, try it with a different outlet, or try plugging something else on the same outlet to see if there's power just to isolate if the problem is the outlet or the adapter.

Second, try using another magsafe on your unit or try using yours with another MacBook. If another magsafe works or yours doesn't work on another unit, then your power adapter is busted. However, if your original power adapter works on another unit, then the problem might be the power board of your MacBook.

If this is so, it's time to visit an ASP. Are you still under warranty?

That's okay, we can do a trade-in for the power adapter if that's the problem. You surrender the old/defective adapter, we order a new/genuine replacement one, and you pay for a price lesser than buying it outright. But of course, we'll have to know first if the adapter really is the problem.

hi! i have an extra mag safe adaptor that i used with my white macbook. the said mb was stolen and the magsafe is in the mb's box since i don't use it anymore. i used it for around 18 months. my new unibody came with its own magsafe. a new magsafe will cost around 4,9++. i know cause i bought a brand new one for my aunt 3 weeks ago. make me an offer. if you're interested, pm me. you can test the magsafe before you buy it.

Yes, the unit is a brand new service part ordered from Apple :) You'll have to visit our shop though, we'll have to run a diagnostic test on the adapter (please bring your unit including the battery for this test). We just need to validate if it's indeed a manufacturing defect so your adapter will be eligible for exchange.

Apple regularly changes their price without notice, our price of course is based on theirs.
