What do you think is the problem? Power Source is mentioned to be the power adapter but battery is not charging?

Hi, the same thing happened to me today. I purchased a 45w Magsafe this morning, and when I plugged it in, my battery wasn't charging. I mage a quick google search and followed the instructions from the Apple Support Community and the hightech dad website below:
    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
    3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
    4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
    5. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
It worked for me. Hope it helps.

    just an update:

found out that the magsafe to magsafe 2 adapter was the culprit. Couldn't find the receipt of the thing so I couldn't have it replaced :(
