problem with avi player

    i have some avi file . i tried playing it in my ibook it runs but with white backgound only and no sounds .im using quicktime pro. i test it also with pc and it played smoothly. but some avi will play smoothly with my ibook.( kung sa baga namimili sya ng avi file ) im just wondering if there are certain avi file wont run in mac because it was formatted in pc version. ? how can i fix it?

    You should use VLC instead. It's free and it works great.

    You might also want to associate all your AVI files to open with VLC by default. You can do this by right-clicking (or ctrl-clicking) on any AVI file and selecting Get Info. Go to Open with: and select VLC, then click on the Change All...

    Missing CODEC lang ang problem mo, to know the codec the AVI file is using, open mo file sa quicktime the press 'apple+I' makikita mo dun kung anong codec ginagamit ng avi file mo, tapos download and install mo na lang appropriate codec.
