    those are actually scripts from geektool, chito...with so much time in our hands (and nothing to do), we just tweaked the scripts to suit the desktops that we want...

    try it, it'll look great on that 27-incher of yours :D

    We really need a thread compiling the different Geektool scripts.

    well, for starters, you can google "geeklets" and you'll get a bunch of scripts ready to use...of course, you need to install geektool first :D

    Guys, i've noticed that my mac takes time to start/load up everything on the desktop because of geektool. is this normal?

    here, let me point you to the right direction, chito...

    geeklets

    simple and concise instructions, you'll be tweaking your desktop in no time :D

    for today only:

    i don't think it's because of geektool...if it takes quite a while to start up then you need to repair permissions on your mac...use the disk utility tool or onyx to do your repairs...

    or open up activity monitor and see what other apps are running that could be affecting the start up of your mac...

    geektool scripts are low-intensive "apps" that do not necessarily take up a load on your system so it must be something else...

    Geeklets has a very poor collection of Geektool scripts though.
