I'm surprised there's nothing like this topic in this forum eventhough we have lots of djs/sound enthusiasts in the community. Might as well start one, here's mine..

    Traktor Setup

This reminds me of the Traktor Setup Pictures thread on the Native Instruments forums.

Here's my Traktor 3.2 Universal Binary setup:

Here is a pic of my temporary setup in Singapore. Will post a pic of my regular setup once I get back to Manila.

BTW, the hair dryer just happened to be mounted there in the room and does not serve any purpose for DJing. hehe

Also, the other monitor is not shown in the pic.

@Kaffee: Yes, that's the Sonic Impact T-Amp. Was just lazy to put in the batteries as it is now powered by the car charger plus converter where the iPod is sitting.

@Travis: So were you using the d.2's FireWire connection? How does it sound?

just noticed a lot of you are using the trigger finger. i opted for the cheaper BCR 2000. it has 16 trigger buttons but 32 rotary buttons as well. i could map it on my macbook running Live 5.2 i was just curious why you guys prefer m-audio's over it.

I got because travism got me sold on it! And I hardly use Live, sort of just learning, so the Trigger is a good choice for me. I plan to buy the M-Audio Conectiv and use Torq so the Trigger will come in handy to fire effects.

I was looking at the BCD2000 before and actually tried it out. Pretty good unit but couldnt use it for mac. I havent tried the BCR.

@lester... sadly the firewire option wasn't installed but the coming D4 is... hehehe

@kikoymindless... the trigger finger is one exceptional piece of hardware. i'm a drummer too and when it comes to the drum machines this was closest to the akais... plus being a mac user, M Audio was the obvious choice. Thats one purchase i don't regret. :) btw, nice dj set up. just curious though. did you change your xone 62 to a behringer?

Same here. Watched Travis perform live the Trigger Finger. Ordered it the following day. But what really got me sold were the velocity-sensitive touch pads. Feels great mixing with it.

@djmyke... ableton has no pitch bend so if you plan to dj with it, you gotta pre plan your set. :)

ok everyone... here is my set up at home for now. i just swapped my 2 channel vestax mixer with the mackie D2. i still have to get an imac G5 and set it up in front of the mackie mcu... i took a pic while i was digitizing some records. :) enjoy!
