    Ibig sabihin lang nyan you are enjoying your PS4. Ako I have a total of 10 games in my ownership but 5 na lang now because I sold the other 5. Currently I am playing Dragon Age Inquisition and GTAV (remastered hehe)...

    Nice! :D Depending on the kid's age, some of Lara's death scenes might be too violent though lol.

    Need help guys...

    so I bought a brand new PS4 yesterday at DataBlitz ATC, I got the R2 (Japan) version. I was in a hurry yesterday because I have a meeting in 15-minutes. I didnt even had it tested. - its against their policy but I insisted...

    so I grabbed it and took off without even looking at the box and package contents.

    When I got home, I had the time to check it out.. and I saw on the box that it's 100V, I also checked the power cable and it says 125V (etched).

    Can I plug this in a 220V AC? are all PS4s autovolt? ---- I've read in some forums that it would work on 220V even if it says 110V on its papers... however, I'm afraid that there would be problems down the road if used this way all the time.

    do you think I can return this and have it exchanged with a 220v unit? (I've been trying to call them but cannot get through)

    All PlayStations are auto-volt. It should be fine.

    Mine is a Japan unit as well and it is indicated on the box as 100V. Plugged it into a 220V socket and works fine.
    Same with my PS3 unit as well. You don't need to have it exchanged with a 220V unit (which they probably don't have anyway).

    Yep - I saw a teardown of a PS4 from iFixit and the power supply says 100v-240v... I just hope ALL PS4s are built exactly the same.

    Did you change your power cable to a 240v one? I think power cables have limitations too (correct me if Im wrong).

    I think their R3 units are 220v... they have some R3s but these are ones with camera included (they dont have the basic / unit only package on R3)... I dont mind adding a few bucks for the "with camera" package - if this route would be safer.

    unless of course if you guys can attest that there wont be problems - now and in the future :)

    No. The power cable is just a cable. You can use it for a 110v device or a 220v device.

    @Somnambulist

    am I really good to go here?, even if at the bottom of the console it states: 100V 2.5A 50/60Hz (I know there are some that says 100-240V at the bottom)

    Take a deep breath, close your eyes, say a little prayer, and plug it in.
