We bought C&C 3 today. I was hoping to play on my Macbook Pro. I have parallels installed and I was hoping that it would work on this so I don't have to install bootcamp. I was able to install it but it won't play. It keeps asking me to put the original DVD in instead of a backup but I already have the original one inside. There's only one disc.

    Does anyone have any clue?

    That won't help.

Parallels does not run games very well due to the difficulty in emulating video cards. The latest version of Parallels does have DirectX support, but it doesn't always work like it should. You could try that out, but for best performance (a 3D game is not going to run well under emulation) you'll need to use BootCamp.

I tried to install C&C older version in parallels, version prior with directx support.
    It does not work also.

Only game I experienced working with parallels is diablo 2.

    bootcamp..

every hardware in windows is emulated via parrallels because its "virtual" even if it corresponds to your real DVD Drive.. maybe you should ask the folks at Parallels to resolve this issue.
