Anyone here tried purchasing the mavic from USA? The pricing here in PH is so ridiculously high from the local/online sellers. The basic price is $999 and yet they're selling it for about 79k pesos ugh.

Get it in HK for HKD9999 (fly more combo). The DJI Flagship store in Causeway Bay regularly get stocks nowadays.

If you want shipping you have to buy from DJI online store and have it forwarded to PH. DJI doesn't ship to PH directly.

I am looking to purchase a 2016 3dr Solo. What is your feedback on this drone? Performance? Distance? Handling against obstacles and strong winds?

    I cannot afford Mavic.

You can go to UP CMO field on Sat, Sun and holidays. Lots of friendly flyers there.

What are regulations in operating a drone in the Philippines? Are there any pilot license required? Permits or restrictions out there?

Any friend that brings home a DJI drone for you is a true friend.

    Those boxes are huge.

    Here's the CAAP memorandum for RPAS/UAV. :)

The Mavic box is really small. You can fit 2 boxes inside your carry-on trolley. :)
