    to Mavic Mini owners...

Do local authorities know that your drone doesn't need any form of registration, thanks to its weight?

I believe so. It was discussed in one of the FB groups of drone enthusiast in Singapore a few months back. The Mini weighs 248.5 grams with the sd card. You won’t be able to use the prop guards nor any other accessories as it will exceed 249g. Even adding a skin / sticker will exceed 249g weight limit. Non Singaporeans/ PRs are only allowed to register one drone.

I honestly have no issues with Singapore authorities... They know what a drone is, and in any case of an argument, you can show them a website and they will leave you alone...

I was thinking of buying the Mini for trips to Australia, Philippines (e.g. Boracay), Vietnam and other nearby beaches... I've not had issues in Phuket and Bali before (I just pretend to be from the Mainland  )

Not sure about Australia, Indonesia and Vietnam. In Thailand I believe registration is mandatory for all drones. For Boracay, If I’m not mistaken you have to pay for a registration fee.

Does anyone know when the DJI Mini 2 will arrive on our shores? :)

Looking forward to it becoming my first drone. Hope the local prices will be close to the $449 SRP on Amazon.

Hmm. Don’t know if I should post this here or the 360 camera thread. The X-Knight is a drone designed for the Insta 360 One R.
