Nakarma si Karma. I read somewhere that GoPro Europe's online store is now just selling it with $40% discount. Ouch. Both the 2 Pros have impressive specs though I'm a bit disappointed they with stayed [email protected] Was also hoping that the cameras were interchangeable as the 2 drones are practically identical.
^actually, I like the "concept" of the Karma... Camera should be upgrade-able... Problem is... They didn't release the necessary adapters... Just imagine having the same drone then swapping the camera with a Hero 6! I know someone who decided to buy a Karma Grip (Gimbal) thinking he can use it for his Hero 5 and Session... The adapter never came. Now he's regretting of choosing the Karma Grip over DJI Osmo
The big question right now to drone enthusiast is which drone to buy, the drone with the optical zoom or the flying Hasselblad. The Pro's 1 inch sensor will give you more dynamic range and better performance in low light conditions, and that 4K 10 bit HDR is just insane. The Zoom's sensor is the same size as the Mavic Pro but that optical zoom will give you more creative videos, the dolly zoom in particular. I know this can be done post production, but optical zoom trumps digital cropping all the time. The Hobbyists will probably go with the Zoom and the Pros with the Pro.
My personal rule in life... If you can't see the difference, buy the cheaper one. Watching YouTube videos taken by both drones in good lighting... I honestly can't see the diff... Hence will go with the Zoom even if I don't need the zoom feature My Air has only flew once! so I have years to go before shopping for a new drone (I fly it when I'm free on weekends, but I only count the holidays)
FYI, There's a facebook group of pinoy drone enthusiast in Singapore. it's Pinoy Sky Cam SG. I believe they're going to meet this Sunday at Marina Barrage. You may want to join them.
Recently picked up a DJI Spark. Are there outdoor areas in the metro where you can fly drones? I'm guessing UP Diliman might be viable place, but have not verified.
Sadly you have to wait for a few weeks before it gets delivered. I ordered during the day of the launch, (Nov. 29), Delivery date as per DJI support? Dec. 19, 2018.
Ok. FYI all accessories are still unavailable for pre order. I was hoping to get the accessory mount to allow me to attach a tripod. And the Pocket Expansion mount. Apparently it's not wireless so you have to buy the wireless module to connect your phone wirelessly. Hopefully the DJI Mimo App will be available by then.
