    Just received a Mavic Air...

Is there really a delay when pressing the video/photo buttons from the remote?

@leninmac I was thinking maybe its an issue with my phone... I'm flying at less than 10m high (beginner mode)so I don't think "too far" will be an issue.

Will try to use an iPhone this weekend.

Take note that you won’t able to view Asteroid mode videos even on an iPhone .It doesn’t support it. It worked on my S8 but not on my IPhone X. You need to manually transfer the videos from an SD card to a PC/ Mac.

Yup. But I believe they just recently released the Phantom 4 V2, a minor upgrade from Phantom 4 Pro. Think Mavic Pro to Mavic Pro Platinum.

... after spending the afternoon testing my Mavic Air...

Works perfectly with the iPhone... Terrible with my 6P...

It rained so I was not able to try it with another Android device

    ... Mavic Air + Zenfone 3...

All buttons worked perfectly, but flight height was very limited... I think max 10ft

Hmm. That’s strange. I can fly at 100 ft. with no issues. Might be a case of signal / radio interference?

No. I was in the exact same spot when I used it with the iPhone and 6P...

I think I was getting 15 stories (HDB) with the iPhone..

BTW, Have you tried using those inexpensive range extenders from Lazada?

Not really because I find the range sufficient enough even when I was flying a Spark. You should call DJI support.

Wife thinks its lacking in range... They'll have their family day next month and we're hoping to take jet ski videos/photos...

Was about to call DJI support when I was having issues with the 6P... But since it worked perfectly well with the iPhone, I can expect them to provide the usual Android answer...

*We've tested it with current flagship devices with no issue, however due to the current fragmentation and numerous Android devices in the market, regret that we cannot comment on the issue you're having* :)

Here's Parrot's answer to the DJI Mavic Air. The Parrot Anafi.
