I agree, this is what we did when I bought my Niece's Shih Tzu (Princess Type), we bought from the breeder and chose the best one. The price would be lower as well, from 16k For the female to 10k!.
I use google. Some well known and reputable kennels have their own websites. I contact them, set an appointment, visit their kennel and interview the breeder. It can be a time consuming process as I personally inspect the living conditions, ask how the dogs are cared for, etc.
Agree with this. Just as there are unscrupulous pet stores there are also similar breeders who care more about making a buck (or peso) than caring for their pets.
Forget pet stores! They are puppymills! No regard and respect for the dogs just to make money. The same holds true for some casual breeders. That is why I make it a point to do the rounds, inspections, and interviews. I do this as a matter of principle and not just because I want a really gwapo or gwapa dog.
my french bulldog smells bad, even after shower. i tried using "pet odor away" but still didn't work. are frenchies stinky by nature?
We got our toy poodle (Mr. Fluffy Max) from Boudreax Kennel. They're pretty strict in determining their puppies' new family. We had to accomplish an application form aside from having a phone interview. But I think it's worth all the trouble. The only thing is that I never succeed it taking a still picture of him. He's a very playful and sweet poodle. You can access their website via this link.
Any recommendation for a kennel who breeds good quality french bulldogs that are priced not too expensive? Thanks
