Sadly, these new X series lenses leave us GF1 owners out in the cold. They are reported to be compatible only with the newer bodies ( including the GF2 via firmware update) http://bit.ly/o7rppP

Actually dpreview says a confirmation with Panasonic shows the GF1 will work will a M43 bodies, may features nga lang that will not work, like yung variable speed zoom, step zoom and zoom resume.

The mere fact that it's available for use with Olympus bodies means ok siya sa old Panny bodies. Wala lang yung new features. Pero may rumors na baka may firmware update daw yung GF1.

The guys at DPreview asked Panasonic and they said:

"UPDATE - We've asked Panasonic for clarification on compatibility and have been informed "The lenses are compatible and will work with all Micro Four Thirds cameras". We have now included the updated press-release that was issued.
