Been using my 13" rMBP for more than a week now. I noticed that some apps look ugly as compared to my previous MBA. It hurts my eyes staring at those. An example is MS Office 2011. How do I fix this?
One option is to write the developer and request for an update. You can also try using Apple's retina ready iWork (Office, Keynote, Numbers) suite.
Is it physical pain in your eye or are the apps just a pain to look at? Might be something wrong with your vision, because most apps, though not optimized for retina, are usable to me. Are they that bad for you?
If symptoms persists, consult your doctor. Could be iOpia-- a condition in which the apps look ugly upon closer look that causes severe headache.
Both actually. They are usable but staring at it for a long time (e.g. Analyzing data in spreadsheets) makes me squint and feel dizzy.
Get a blood check. Especially your glucose. Had this problem before. Regular exercise and healthy diet will solve it.
hmmmm... I have to double check on this. Last thursday I checked if there's an app update and there seems none. So I assumed mine was updated. Thanks!
I recently switched from Windows to Mac so I'm still trying to get the feel of iWork. Thanks for your suggestion.
