Checked my metrosafe 250 and it has the mesh on its side. The back part though don't have the mesh.

If you want to know if your bag has mesh, you can see it in a X-ray machine used in airports and the like. So I guess you can request to have a look at the screen na lang. I think I went to mind museum and found one there too, so i saw from the screen that my bag has a mesh. I did not look if mine had one in the side.

camsafe user here. i just use s damp cloth to wipe down the bag. easy to clean this way more stubborn dirt just needs more elbow grease.

I also have the same bag. My ipad 4 even fits in it. Recently, while cleaning my dog's cage, it slipped from my shoulder and fell on the dogs poop yuck. So I just had it hand washed.

Quite yes, thinking the same thing. The first thing I noticed actually is if it has mesh on the sides, because its where it is usually being slashed. But optimistically, it also comes useful to other parts, like the hooked zippers and the shoulder strap clip that you can hook your bag on a secure fixture like tables and chairs, so when they try to snatch the bag, they'll be bringing along the chair or the table you're in. Imagine how comical they'll look like if that actually happens.

It'll be likely useful in instances like these:
I own the Venturesafe 25L and been like 2 years and so and I've proven the hooked zippers effective as deterrent against thefts when crossing overpass. One time in an overpass I caught 2 guys walking as slow as me behind my back while other people are walking fast past us. Then as I observed them while pretending I don't know they're behind my backpack, one guy had a hard time getting the zipper open (as I know it's obviously hooked on its side pouch), then moments later he gave up and overheard him saying "Wala eh" to his companion and they went walk ahead of me. They of course, can't get it open without a noticeable movement if they try to open it. Unless they budge me, eh hindi naman siksikan sa overpass.

Its not fully theft proof, but its a deterrent. They should improve it though. Mmmm... ika nga nila, "OK na." Let's just wait for Sale na lang to justify the expensive price, haha.

my wife got me the 250 Metrosafe version. I'm still getting used to it. I was using a smaller samsonite bag before this; different orientation on location of zippers & pockets. :)

I'm interested with the Metrosafe (the backpack one). Are they available in SM Mall of Asia?

Are they available locally? How much are they retailing here? I am still thinking if I should just buy that from Amazon.

i have a metrosafe 300. Its a nice bag. I think its a bit too big though. Maybe I should have just gotten a 250. I love the fact that the 300 can accommodate lots of stuff. However, the weight of a full bag will make you remove a thing or two of your items.
