Anyone here using Android phones with their Macs?

Just want to hear your thoughts on the adjustment/s you made from (I assume) using an iPhone with your Mac to an Android based phone.

    Thanks

**Need to get a new phone and the new iPhone 6S can't arrive soon enough, thinking of getting the Note 5.

I have both an iphone and an android phone, the latter being my primary phone. I use HandsFree app to send and receive calls and sms from my mac to my android phone. For my contacts, I use google to sync contacts and calendar. Photos and other files I send and receive thru bluetooth.

I'm trying to use the Android File Transfer to connect my Note 5 to my rMBP (OS X 10.11 El Capitan) but I can't seem to make it work, anyone else encountering this problem?

    Thanks

I read somewhere that the Android File Transfer is basically dead when I tried to use it about two years ago. Since then, I've been using google to sync contacts, photos (to google drive) & calendar. I use Pushbullet to move files between my LG G3 & my Mac. I try to use apps that are multi-OS (Evernote, Spotify, Viber, Whatsapp, PasswordBox, FB, WSJ) & use OS-specific only when needed (WPS Office for Android & Apple Work apps).

Pushbullet for Android to Mac notification mirroring, read and write SMS from Mac, and sending little stuff back and forth, Portal (also from Pushbullet) for sending large files to Android from Mac.

I use Android File Transfer, it's a hit and miss thing. Try to change your cable. Try to reboot if still won't work. The first one usually works with mine.

    Great advise. Portal is cool!

But is there any app that can utilise transfers via USB/Cable?

    Thanks

Barely 2 weeks into using my Note 5, sadly after a minor drop (about 6 inches to a carpeted floor) the screen just went black.

Went to Samsung store in SM Aura, since I got my unit from Kimstore, they don't want to repair it (I'm not claiming warranty, more than willing to pay).

    Tsk tsk

Try memo express. They're an official repair center for Samsung.
