    my MBA 11 went sluggish after this upgrade i don't want a fresh install though. Booting and shutting down takes awhile compared before the upgrade its like I'm using a HDD.

    hold off on the upgrade if you can. was trying to review an illustrator file from my artist but it kept crashing last night so i rebooted. mbp wouldn't startup past the apple logo. did a command + r restart and reinstalled the os. working now but i'm scared to reboot. this has never happened to me before.

    Great update this is. Noticed the snappiness when doing graphic intensive work. From Photoshop to Illustrator, everything seems to be smooth and faster. Haven't experienced any bugs yet.

    Done downloading but haven't installed it yet. Been reading about some compatibility issues with some programs.

    @speeds

    Mine is 6.19GB using Diskmaker X v5.0

    Just finished doing a fresh install yesterday. I notice problems syncing my gmail account with mail app. ElCap is more like a buggy 10.10.6 than 10.11. =(

    For those using Paragon NTFS, you need to upgrade to version 14 for compatibility with OS X 10.11. Note that Paragon NTFS 14 now associates a unique ID for the machine its installed on with the serial number so you need to purchase a license for each mac you want to install it on. I suggest getting the multi-seat family license packs.

    been doing that since os x 10.9 mavericks. downloaded from another mac(hine) copy to external hard drive. then install to other macs.

    rule of thumb, back up first :)

    Thank you for the quick reply! So OSX packages do come with drivers for all supported macs.

    yup :), been doing that for 7 different macs :)

    also make sure you copy first the installer to external hard drive before installing the os x on the machine you used to download since the installer will be deleted once you finished installing.
