all our iPads (except iPad 1, which we got in US) and most of our iMac’s were purchased from BTB. I recall having to whisper my username to avail of discounts :ROFLMAO:, didn’t even need any voucher back then. They just listed my username and voila, 10% or 5% discount. Those were the days (y)

Instead of bitching about Charlie not giving me, an opportunist stranger, a discount I decided to import the products directly and availing of all the sales online. Everyone's overpaying in VAT, sales tax and insurance. lol

How do they ship the items here? Do you encounter any problems from customs? I'm thinking of buying my MBP from Amazon as well since I can't wait for it to be released here.

I always used shippingcart, but they have a huge backlog for their item processing.

but got 2 switch lites last may 30, and its already in manila. They shipped it last June 18th.

If you can wait 20-30 days. Go for it.

Hi Jay, just wanted to continue the conversation from the last question.

Do you encounter any clearance issues with customs when you have gadgets shipped to Manila via Shipping Cart?

I’ve never considered buying gadgets online because I always thought one would get in trouble with customs.

Also, have you tried Johnny Air Cargo?

I have never experienced any customs delay. Shipping cart seems to have an arrangement with customs, they are the collecting agent for the duties. So no need to worry about it being held up. Shippingcart always over estimates their delivery times.

Haven't tried Johnny air, coz I'm lazy and hate going to branches for pickup. Shippingcart is door to door.

I received my item from shipping cart opened for inspection when it arrived. Bought it from Amazon.
