    Hi,

I recently brought my 2010 unit at BTB V-Mall for repair. Service Technician checked my unit's serial number and found that it's already obsolete.

Any suggestions where I can have this serviced? Is it even worth having this repaired? My unit has blue tooth issues and a has vertical line on screen.

    Thank you.

Your unit either came out in April or October 2010.

That is over 8 years ago. You will spend more repairing it.

I would sell it for spare parts after doing a Time Machine backup and do a secure erase.

Treat yourself to a 2018 Macbook Pro when it will be announced tomorrow early morning.

If you want to throw money after bad you can connect your Mac to an external monitor and see if the vertical line shows there. As for Bluetooth you can buy a USB Bluetooth dongle. Just make sure both are Mac compatible.

Do you have $$$ to replace it with a new Macbook?

If you just need it for basic stuff... I think some 3rd party repair shops should be able to fix it .

You could try Senco Link or Ynzal to see if they could still service your unit. Try calling first to make sure.

If you are near VirraMall DONT GO ANY FURTHER! There are lots of shops there that can fix out of warranty Macs.

My recommendation is a place called Ashop. Just ask around they are located at the other end of the 3rd floor of Vmall from BTB. It’s a few shops apart from iStudio. They fixed my 2008 iMac perfectly.

Why is every body recommending Ynzal, never found their Location, service, or prices for anything attractive.
