    Hi, folks,

I just bought my second Mac. My first Mac is an iBook G4 which I'm planning to use mainly for work, and my new Macbook Pro will be staying at home. Have some questions lang re: having a dual Mac life.

    Questions:
    • I know I can sync my iPod Touch to multiple computers. Does this mean that I need to have the same files in my iTunes on both Macs? This includes audio books, podcast subscriptions, movies and of course music.
    • Related to the above, what is the easiest way to sync my iTunes on both Macs?
    • In general, if I want to transfer some apps (mostly software I downloaded and bought on the Internet) to my MBP, is it just a matter of un-registering software in one computer and re-registering to the other? or do I have to buy another copy for my MBP?
    • Related to the above, if for example I decide to sell my iBook later on, what happens to the apps I have there? Can I sell them separately or are they tied to the serial number of the iBook or something? For example, I have a licensed copy of Office 2004 registered to that machine. I also have a brainstorming app that was quite expensive. I don't have any plans of selling right now but I do want to know the answer to this question.
By the way, I am keeping Tiger as my OS on my iBook mainly because of Classic support, but my MBP is of course in Leopard.

Those are my questions so far. :)

I thought you can only sync iPods with only one iTunes. If you sync it to another iTunes, The iPod contents gets erased and replaced.

Uninstall from one computer then install to the other. You have to buy another license if you want to keep apps installed in both.

If you're selling a computer, It is best to reformat a computer before you sell. So that no other personal info remains on that computer. Yes you can sell the apps separately, provided that you give them everything that is connected with those apps, ie, original CDs/DVDs, Serial numbers, etc.
