    Macbook Pro 2.5 (Early 2008)
    OSX Version 10.5.7

I updated my phone to 3.0 and tried tethering thru cable, it worked just fine.
Then i tried pairing up my phone to my MBP, then this message popped up

Is there something wrong with my setting? or with my hardware?:( :( :(

Thank you so much for helping .

Try shutting down the MBP, then power it back up and see if it recognizes the BT transceiver.

    Thank you for replying..

Did that, still no bluetooth device found..:(

I also tried booting to vista and still, vista cant find any bluetooth hardware attached...:(

Does this mean my bluetooth hardware is busted?

and oh, im using wifi connection... (being optimistic, thinking that wifi and bluetooth hardware are the same:))

    Thanks agan.

Have you tried connecting or pairing with other bluetooth devices?

@anthonyramos: I think he's concerned that the BT on his MBP is no longer working (no hardware found = can't pair with anything).

Is there an On/Off in iPhone? maybe its not turned on. Otherwise, resetting PRAM can solve bluetooth or wifi problems.

The better, its weird that it does not appear in system prefs. its probably a hardware defect.
