of all the major sports to watch live hockey is the best. seriously, i've been to NBA/NFL/MLB games and nothing beats seeing hockey live.

its chilly (naturally because of the ice, and there are more flying (rock hard frozen rubber) pucks that go into the stands than compared to baseballs flying into the stands in baseball games, you can actually hear the players talking/skating/fighting/getting checked, and the crowd is usually mostly diehard fans who really know the players and when big plays are brewing.

i guess the games in HD really help as well.

    go bruins!

agree 200%. it is the most intense team sport. i mean, what other team sport demands that players be substituted every two or so minutes. it is that intense; players go all out and are exhausted in about two minutes. and it is so fast, most substitutions happen on the fly, without game stoppage!

again, ice hockey is the most exciting and intense professional team sport, bar none. too bad my rangers were eliminated by the caps, after being up 3-1! another new york team chokin' ;)

    Die hard Canuck fan here!

Thanks for the link. I've been listening over team1040 since February when I got back here.
It would be great to be in Vancouver right now with the Canucks on a roll.

I was there the whole month of January when they lost 10 straight:(

oh man, downtown vancouver is still partying. it all stated early AM in gm place. traffic is crazy and cops are all over. you'll see blue all over. cant imagine if they reach the finals.

vancouver canucks is the only canadian team in the playoffs so they're representing.

i just hope they'll change the schedule of the playO so it will not coincide with the NBA playO

i was cheering for the bulls while booing the blackhawks

and the pittsburgh penguins win the stanley cup--game 7 in detroit!

professional ice hockey--the most exciting professional team sports, bar none.

too bad for marian hossa, who left pittsburgh to join detroit to win a stanley cup.

    congratulations, penguins!

Yep, Pens won. Good for them, since it's been a long time since they won one.

And yes, I gotta agree, this sport is the fastest paced, save for F1. Makes it very exciting, too. Too bad we rarely have games televised here. :(

Canucks-Rangers NHL Finals in 1994 was the first time I watched the NHL games. :)

I just watched Game 7 of Round 1 between NY Rangers and Ottawa Senators.

My conclusion is the same: No professional sport is more exciting than ice hockey! :p
