Yep - but you might have to import the replacement drive for that.

the last time i checked from ebay for 500gb, it was around 380usd to 400usd, and for 1tb, it was from 600 to 700usd. you will also need a pentalobe screw driver for this.

i am preparing to replace my 512 with 1tb, purchased the ifix it screw set, though still waiting for it to arrive. too bad the price is now 200usd more compared to last jan.

^^^^ wouldn't it be more economical, for the new buyer, to get the rMBP at the SSD size he wants from the get-go.... or almost the same lang ang added cost halos

if getting em abroad or online would not be an issue for you, try looking it up on Amazon, Newegg or OWC.

    Hi,

Do you guys connect your rMBPs to your TV? If yes, what's the best way to do this?

    Thanks

I do, when we watch/stream movies. Just connect via HDMI and connect the charger and it will automatically mirror what's on your screen with the lid closed.

I use Hippo Remote to control the rMBP while connected to my TV.

simplest is directly via HDMI .... and it will just mirror to the TV .....

If I am watching some movies on our 32" TV, i usually turn off the display in the laptop by simply dimming the brightness down to zero. The brightness adjustment will not have any effect on its output to the tv.
