Apple just updated their retina Macbook Pro line:

The 13" base model is now 2.6 Ghz (from 2.4), has 8 GB RAM (from 4GB) and P3,000 pesos cheaper (P64,990 from P67,990).

The 15" base model now has 16 GB RAM.

With Charlie's discount, we may be able to get this at less than P60k. Or there might be a big sale for the previous models.

So.. Is it better to wait for it? I hope the ghosting issue gets resolved on their next update already.

If you badly need it why wait? If you still have your old Mac and satisfies your computing needs, no need to upgrade. If you have plenty of pennies, buy it. ;)

Didn't expect this at all. I just helped my cousin two days ago. He purchased the ME293, which is a 15-inch 2.0GHz Retina Display with 256GB Flash and 8GB.

    C'est la vie.

I think the entry level 15" is a letdown with no discreet GPU.

Do the 14-day no questions asked Apple return policy apply in the Philippines?

I know I can return it within 14 days here (Aus) - full refund. Then I can buy the new model instead.

Nothing big as in big per se. Mostly evolutionary.

    1. Faster CPU
    2. More RAM (some models)
    3. Price cut

I was hoping for a new processor, but oh well, I guess my early 2011 MBP get a new lease on life.

^I didn't even know there is such a thing. When was it updated to DON'T BUY? I bought my MBP almost a month ago.

Okay lang, pero sayang din yung RAM at mas murang SRP.

I'm planning to get one by December, but I think I should wait for the better processors early next year? I don't need it that much yet.

If you want to wait for next year, better do your research na rin for the upcoming processors.

Compare and Contrast the present & upcoming processors and justify according to your needs.
I'm also waiting for the upcoming MBP by next year, since nalaman ko na meron pang lalabas na mas bago,

Stick muna ako sa Mid 2010 Macbook White.
