Wow, thought this was just another typical old school vampire series…..apparently not. Just finished episode 2 of “Dracula” (2020) and i am hooked.

Red Notice 7.5/10 - Fun brainless popcorn movie. It has all the cliches of a summer blockbuster movie. Over the top action scenes, fairly predictable plot, product placements. Highly enjoyable if you have time to spare.

We finished season 1 of the live-action version of Cowboy Bebop and I get it why those who loved the anime can't love this version too. They tried to stick to the source but when the changes they made were too divisive. None of the characters, neither good guy or bad guy, is cool or has that swagger. Jet Black is too much of a dad literally. They gave him a daughter and an ex-wife, and he never turns off his dad mode with how he treats Faye and Spike. Faye Valentine is no femme fatale, she's just more of a foul mouthed tomboy and I agree why most Cowboy Bebop fans are disappointed. Let's give credit to John Cho who not only looks the part but also did a good job in fight scenes as Spike Spiegel. However in the live-action version, he loses his cool factor too easily. He allows himself to be treated like a kid by Jet, he has no good comebacks when he's in a verbal spat with Faye, and he has that stupid name "Fearless". Over to the bad guys, it's too easy. Vicious is so bad it's comical. His facial reactions, his mannerisms, and backstory are cringey. Then there's Julia who they tried to make her relevant but in reality she's just too flat to make an impact in the 9 episodes before the finale.

I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix canceled this after 1 season.
