I'm a bit claustrophobic, so Oxygen should be the last film I would enjoy. But I finished it in one sitting. Melanie Laurent is amazing.

...is an intriguing question: If you could transfer your, and your significant other's memory and consciousness into your and your SO's physical form of any year, what age would you and your SO be?

Army of the Dead 8/10 - Predictable, fun, brainless pop corn movie. That’s all I can say.:LOL:

There’s a bit of controversy following the unexpected cancellation of Kim’s Convenience. It was cancelled despite its global popularity
and having great ratings. It was assumed that the cancellation was due to Simu Liu “going” Hollywood. Apparently not. What’s strange is they’re planning a spin-off on Ashley, the only character in the main cast that’s non Asian.

Sweet Tooth was indeed true to its name. Lots of sweetness and cuteness set against a dystopian, post-apocalyptic era that is strangely familiar. The pandemic that hit them is especially poignant during these trying times, and we can safely say everyone on the planet who watches this show now can relate completely. That is one of the reasons it gives you a sugar rush. Can't wait for the next season.

The Kominsky Method sadly is on its final voyage in its third season, which was fantastic, even with the absence of Alan Arkin. I love this series so much that I started it over again, re-watching the first season. There were still LOL moments, and even the most mundane scenes were interesting and funny. I do wish Arkin was still there with Michael Douglas though, I really miss his zingers and one liners. Sayang talaga. Like I said when this show about grumpy old men came out, I like these guys because they're me in a couple more decades.

I can totally relate, saw Grumpy Old Men on VHS as a kid and their repartee and chemistry totally reminded me of that, only better! Last season feels a bit rushed and the all too sudden absence of Alan Arkin was palpable, but I do love the casting throwbacks (Romancing the Stone & War of the Roses!) plus a pleasant Paul Reiser surprise.

Watched the first episode of Trese, and will continue tomorrow. Opted to watch it with English audio. Their accent is thick! Haha. I think westerners will watch this with subtitles. Heck even I am watching it with subtitles.

Trese 8/10 - Maybe I'm a little biased here but I liked that It tackled the Pinoy folklore of tikbalang, nuno sa punso, dwende, aswang, white lady, etc. I’m not sure though if western audiences can relate. Watched it with English audio and English subtitles. Highly recommended.

"Trese" is very tipid in terms of production value. I do appreciate Netflix's effort to create IP that may be appreciated by an international market.

There is also a Spanish dub to appeal to the less than 0.1% of the population who understands it.

In 1x02 at 10:41 the Tikbalang scene has two distinct vocal sound fx for the Tikbalang. The Tagalog version is reministicent of the voice sound fx used for supernatural characters used in the 1980s. Think the Panday cartoons. The English dub has a more contemporary approach.

Would have been nice if Batista was the voice of the Tikbalang.

Nova Aurora has its origins from Nora Aunor?

Like Heneral Luna... if I wasn't Pinoy I wouldnt watch it.

Kinda comes accross as Buffy or BLOOD-C
