I dowloaded GIMP and cant run it on my system. I'm getting an error X11 should be installed.
I tried looking for the installer in my osx installer and found x11sdk. Is it the same x11 program GIMP is looking for? Cause I tried running GIMP again after installibg and it still wont load. Anyone know how to handle this situation?

X11 comes with the Developer Tools on the original Tiger disc. Yes, it won't run without it, and so will other ported Linux/Unix apps. The SDK is the software development kit.

EDIT: Sorry, just open the Tiger disc and you should find an installer package named "Optional Installs". Click on the disclosure triangle for "applications", X11 is at the bottom of the list.

If you uninstall x11 gimp will not run.

What I uninstalled are the xcode apps.

The "neater" way to install and use GIMP is to download and install MacGIMP. It does not require X11(i think).
