And the NBA's D Team (definitely not The Dream Team -- heck they may not even be the league's A. B or C team) that is playing in the FIBA World Cup fell to Serbia, 94-89, after losing to France the other day.

After winning each of the past two FIBA World Cups, the Americans can finish no better than seventh. On Saturday, they will face the loser of Poland vs. the Czech Republic to determine seventh place.

Jokic and Bogdan really steamrolled Walker and Co. in that game. Imagine down 32-7 in Q1, tsk tsk. Pops had his head hanging in disbelief.

Hmmm...on the 2nd day of practice, Kevin Looney tweaked his hamstring & Smailagic(?) rolled his ankle. Cauley-Stein is out for awhile with a strained foot (whatever that is). At this rate, Curry will be the starting center when the season opens!

^Well, they might eventually snap Joakim Noah from free agency, but isn't Andrew Bogut with them already?

The NBA preseason games kick off today with a pair of oddly-scheduled games (at least by PH standards):

Houston vs. LA Clippers, 1:00 pm (to be played in Honolulu)
Indiana vs. Sacramento, 9:30 pm (to be played in India)

Thankfully, these games are available on League Pass. The Clips are sitting out PG and Kawhi (shocker), while Westbrook will be out for the Rockets.

Not sure that Bogut is with them. Hmmm...they may get Noah just for their preseason opener with the Lakers just to irritate LBJ. ;) Joakim & LBJ are not on good terms.

Bogut is currently signed with Sydney Kings. He was just given permission to join the Warriors during the playoffs since they just finished their season that time.

What are your options in watching NBA sans Sky and Cignal broadcast?

The Pelicans have a good young lineup and Zion did not disappoint! It was thrilling to watch him catch lobs and barrel down the basket with almost reckless abandon.

This is one team to definitely watch this season!

For those with League Pass subscriptions, Commissioner Adam Silver is currently holding a press conference in Japan to address the fallout with China from the Daryl Morey tweet issue. He is one fine NBA Commissioner. Salute!
