NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world http://globalnation.inquirer.net/ne...oted-worst-airport-in-Asia-ranks-5th-in-world kawawa naman tayo.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world This is not a surprise. They really need to do something to improve the interior and exterior of NAIA, particularly Terminal 1.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world This should serve as a wake up call. Or it'll fall on deaf ears.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world naia has been on the worst airport for years now right?
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world *Rank* NAIA between Delhi and Mumbai means it really stinks.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world It is called "Ninoy Aquino International Airport", so the President will definitely do something about this.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world I haven't been to NAIA 3 yet but as far as my memories of NAIA 1 goes if there was one thing I want to do as soon as I get into the terminal is to get out of it. Hopefully something is done about it. Its not really a "bombed out ruin" but a derelict airport.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Weren't they planning to shutter NAIA? I kinda remember hearing that before.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Chuvaness covered it here before : http://chuvaness.livejournal.com/1034832.html From Ms Chuva : To which MIAA head Mr. Honrado wrote: Chuvaness retorted : Hmm, Chuvaness came out with this report in January 2011. At Honrado's lightning fast speed of repairing 1 toilet per 25 days, that would give us 4 working toilets by today! Yehey. His reply of in the PDI article seems to indicate that he gives the same standard non-answer and ilista mo na lang sa tubig response to all media. More importantly however, where does the billions pesoses in airport taxes go? I thought Noynoy would at least do something about this as the airport bears his father's name, who is also his namesake by the way.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Deservingly so! I'd like to see any other airport that is more outdated than our very own. Seriously, NAIA represents us as a country, in the eyes of foreign travellers arriving. So we definitely need to improve. But I don't see how much else we can improve NAIA 1 and 2. NAIA 3 can still be improved, but I don't think the government is willing.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Why am I not surprised. Also, they should find a way to incorporate trains at NAIA
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world mmm.....Clark DMIA is wide open.....been that way for decades now. Terminal 2 has been in legal limbo....for decades now. FAA category 2 is in effect......for many years now. At this rate of "progress", the country will get a world-class airport in another 30 years.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Remember when Terminal 2 was supposed to be the new Domestic Terminal and Terminal 3 was going to be the new International Terminal? Honestly, we need to do what the Japanese did and make Clark the equivalent of Narita and NAIA the equivalent of Haneda. Of course, transportation links to/from Clark need to be upgraded. It'll of course take years. Clark has two parallel runways built for B52s. NAIA just has a single runway capable of handling largers jets and has zero room for growth. International operations were supposed to be moved to Terminal 3 in its entirety 2004/5. I despise Terminal 1. Only airport I hate nearly enough is NYC's LGA.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world I always wondered why international flights still haven't been moved to Terminal 3. They have coasters to carry people anyway. Also, the P750 terminal fee is for international flights. Otherwise, it's P200 for local flights. If that quoted 24.1 million passengers are all international, then disregard.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world the government promised to open Terminal 3 to international flights by the end of 2011. if they can't, a train from DMIA to NAIA would instantly make the former a viable replacement for Terminal 1 while we wait for Terminal 3's legal problems to resolve.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world NAIA being voted as being the worst in Asia doesnt surprise me anymore. tsk tsk.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world Just came in through Terminal 1 the other day, it truly is no longer fit to be an International Terminal, it's time to close it down, tear it down and rebuild it or make it the domestic airport. I always prefer to fly through Terminals 2 and 3 when given the chance. But I did notice the toilets by the baggage carousel areas were newly remodeled, so that part wasn't too bad.
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world I know this is slightly off topic, but why is Terminal 2 for the more or less exclusive use of PAL and its affiliates? Did they contribute anything to the construction and maintenance of T2 or are they just tenants and Lucio Tan has that much pull?
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world not surpising at all, it's been like that for at least a decade or even more. What a joke
Re: NAIA voted worst airport in Asia, ranks 5th in world You can really see and feel how bad NAIA is once you came back from HK airport.
