Anyways, as stated, my macbook froze for the first time not to long ago. about a week ago. or less. I tried to turn it on. and it'd get stuck in the apple logo and spinning wheel part. I tried to do the "Safe" mode thingy. ayaw. So what I did was Reinstall it. I preserved all my apps and stuff and reinstalled them as well. 20-30mins later. it hung again. So I was forced to wipe out EVERYTHING assuming that one of the apps are corrupted or one of the files are corrupted.

Move on to today, I only downloaded MSN, Miro and Limewire. Havent downloaded any 3rd party suff. Then it froze. AGAIN. Its so annoying. Any ideas why this happens? any solutions?

Maybe hard drive failure? Check your disk utility, on your Macintosh HD, Verify/ Repair Disk.

Also check the fan. It might be dead, hence overheating the machine and causing it to shutdown after a period of time.

hm. the fan could be an issue. because at one point. it was SO loud that the laptop was vibrating. and at one point, it sounded as if a pebble was being rattled in a glass jar kinda sound

Delikado na yan bro. Have it looked by certified apple tech. I think you still have warranty coverage, use it, sayang naman.

When it happens, is your machine hot? Best thing to do is get it serviced so you'll know what's actually causing the hang-up. Also note what you were doing so that the tech is informed and would take it into account when looking into the logs.

I've seen you post your issue in another thread clcabatbat. Have those RAM chips replaced already! No amount of software update can solve your RAM problem.

Definitely unusual. My first suspect would be an impending hard drive failure too, given that you've already already done a reinstall. What happens when you try to verify the disk? Start Disk Utility, select your hard disk, and click on "Verify disk".
