Have it checked by any apple certified/authorized service center if it's still under warranty. Actually, you should still bring it to them even if it's out of warranty to be assured of honest and quality service.

Does the Apple Warranty cover accidental damage like this? Or does it just cover factory or Apple recognized defects?

    Re: my macbook fell help

Some other details might also help...

One thing i could think of is...was the mac on sleep mode or totally turned off before it fell?
also the condition after it fell? any dents? was the screen partially opened before it fall? did it open after the fall?

Anyhow.... bring it to an Apple service center, the "check-up" "should" be free... If you still have warranty on the unit or not!

Just be creative on why you want to have it "checked out"

To give an "guess" that "sound" you heard might either be the Hard drive, Fan, or optical drive...which are the only "moving parts" that can make noise...

    @rafaelc378
No. Damage like this is not covered by APP or the regular warranty.
But there are ways around that...(as long as there are no obvious dings/dents and whatnot! hint hint!)

So scratches are not qualified for APP and the 1 year warranty?

yup. there are "creative ways" to address. just tell the apple service center something general and vague like " something wierd" is happening to my mac. volunteer as little info as possible.

    Re: my macbook fell help

Ahh, the things we'll do to get, as jaijin put it, "open and honest service."

Looks like the "open" and "honest" only runs one way apparently.

Kind of reminds me of the patient who had a positive pregnancy test, but insisted that she was a virgin. The lab/diagnostic test results don't jibe with the patient's claims.

Just want to ask, does the MB have any impact indicators that would hint that it fell, something like those found in HD drives?

and it automatically turned on when i opened it after it fell well it really is still working but im using it minimally because im afraid it might break already...that's too sad because i need to bring it to school and now i can't ...anyway can you help me look for reasons to tell them???well the fall was a little hard but some of it was absorbed by the fibre glass skin...

I dropped my Ibook in 2003 on the pavement in front of the former Restaurant 12 in Greenbelt after a Philmug EB. Up till now, it still works.

if it's out of warranty, try nomer/val of ynzal. just be ready to pay for parts replacement and labor, but these people are good at it :)
