^Wow, even that’s refreshing haha. But going in the suicide forest after doing all these things? No, no, no. Not yet. Not even ever.

Back in college, I was part of a group offered for an exchange study to Japan for a month, living in a Japanese home, attending class and basically doing what the Japanese do. Sadly, only two were allowed to leave for Osaka and I’ve always wondered what it was like to be able to do that at least during a visit. My one and only Japan visit was an official travel, less than five days, in a hotel where the convention was in, and no time to even go out with my wife for an entire day. But we stayed three more days after just to explore Tokyo and that was it. Short, unexciting really.

We want to go back. Maybe after I retire. After I get my visas. And pension, of course.

Autumn colors were tad delayed this year due to warmer weather. It's only during this fifth (yearly) visit when I only got to appreciate the in-room bath tub after learning the closure of the onsen near the Kawaguchiko Lake that baptized me to legit public nudity. I had to disinfect it with joy antibac for some peace of mind. It's still pretty much offers the same hot water treatment that calms aching muscles after a long day of walking and binge-eating minus the kahihiyan.

Hopefully, next time, I'll be able to secure an international driver's license so I could try this:

I don't want to sound racist... but M. Kart doesn't look good if Caucasians are doing it.

My best places in Japan are its outdoors. The national parks walking into Meji temple, Trailheads to Mt Gozaisho , The Rin-rin bicycle path in Ibaraki. I really appreciated Japan more when I get to travel in the countryside . But of course, seeing the rising sun at the top of the land of the rising sun Mt. Fuji is breathtaking.

If you are withdrawing from an ATM using a BPI card, avoid Japan Postal Bank atms because they charge handling fees. However 7-11 atms do not charge anything. Also as of this writing, i got charged .48 jpy to php vs .4673 according to Bloomberg. Does anybody know how much Manila money changers charged this week?

The ancient art of Japanese cord-making into various objects and displays. Well, it’s offered almost everywhere in hotels and malls for free. A nice primer into traditional Japanese craftsmanship. (From our Dec 2016 trip)

Will be in Sapporo this coming March. Any tips from fellow muggers? This will be our first time to go there and aside from the usual places to go, (eg Mt. Moiwa) anyone could recco some not so usual activity to do there. Thanks fam!
