I'll definitely get that in the airport. What time do attractions in Kyoto open? I think I'll change my itinerary to this, please let me know if it's workable: Day 1: arrival Day 2: usj until 5pm, shopping onwards until closing Day 3: depart hotel at 6am for Kyoto. And stay in Kyoto until around 3pm. 4pm onwards, shopping in Osaka Day 4: Osaka tourist attractions. Day 5: depart If it's just the golden temple to be seen in Kyoto then it might be workable. What do you think? Thanks
we we there last june our itinerary was (in order) 1. arashiyama (bamboo forest), we were there at around 8 pm (local time) please be informed that japan is 1 hour ahead on philippine time, we stroll and taking pictures and selfies for about 2 hours 2. kinkaku-ji (golden pavilion), from bamboo forest, we take a cab (fare is more or less 1900 yen) to go to golden pavilion, since it takes two or more bus transfer to go there. 3. fushimi inari taisha, from golden pavillion we take bus to kyoto station and board train going to fushimi inari taisha. the above mentioned places is feasible with your itinerary until 3 pm. we stayed at gion district (ktoyo) until 9 pm for us to catch a glimpse of geisha but unfortunately we failed
That would be a perfect visit since the Sakura festival is usually on April. I hope you were able to book within the Sakura 10 days period to see it in full bloom. Sharing some of the shots i took on our Sakura Experience in Kyoto last year :
Nice! cherry blossom 's first bloom to full bloom average dates in Tokyo usually last week of march to 1st week Of April.
just in time, will get in April 5. I have booked Panoramic Tokyo tour, Mt. Fuji & Hakone day tour, Nikko Heritage tour. Might go to Kyoto for a day tour. Airline and hotel are booked as well.
TFS macexchange. I plan to go back during Holy Week. Hopefully I'll catch that festival Bhoyetjumpay, thanks. Took a screen shot of your itinerary to guide me around Kyoto. [emoji106]
hahaha, baka maligaw ka? i intentionally deleted the ginkaku-ji (silver pavillion) on the itinerary i posted since i find it not worth to visit. enjoy
Did your itinerary except for the last temple cause I wanted to be back in Osaka by 2pm. Thanks!! Japan was great, I immediately booked a trip for Tokyo come Holy Week.
How's the rates you got for the Holy Week? I believe the airfare and hotel accomodations are quite high. Last year we went to Osaka and Kyoto before the holy week. Best time to see the sakura would be the last days of March to the first days of April, although this is hard to predict.
For those planning an Osaka trip, the best flight schedule is via Jetstar (going) and cebupac (homebound). You'll be in Osaka by noon and leave for Manila at 8pm.
About Kinkaku-ji. We tourists like to see it in the spring or summer. Kyoto-ites flock to it when snow starts to fall. That's when it becomes magical...
Yes, if you have the time. The lines for every ride will make you wait for a minimum of 1 hour even on a weekday.
For Universal Studios, just get the express passes which shortcuts all the long lines for the rides. Buy them in advance online though, they sell very few onsite each day and they are sold out very quickly.
