i used to have a program in windows called "musicians aid" which you can mark a region and just have it repeated over and over again. it helps in practising a certain part of the song. is there a software in mac like this, if not better?
I just do it in iTunes, by setting the Start and Stop times of the song in "Options", and then putting it on Repeat One.
