    Suggestions, in order of preference:

    (1) OpenOffice
    (2) NeoOffice
    (3) IBM Lotus Symphony

All free, but NeoOffice users are encouraged to contribute.

There shouldn't be an issue. Neo Office / Open Office are updated regularly and personally, I never had any MS Office-compatibility issues. Give it a try. It's free, anyway. :p

    NeoOffice FTW.
    - better ui + more features
    - osx native, built for a mac

i use open office in my windows partition and neooffice in osx.

I have both & I really can't see a difference. NeoOffice claims that their interface is more Mac-like as Open Office was made to be used in all types of OS.

As being able to use MS Office in either Open or Neo Office, just make sure that your MS Office files are in xls, doc or ppt format & not in the MS Office 2007 format. MS Office 207 files end in xlsx, docx & pptx. I not sure if the current version of the Open & Neo Office can use the 2007 files.

Guys kindly educate me about Open office.

How will you save any document done in open office like presentation, Word, and Excel so that you can view and edit on PC MS office?

    Does this possible?

    Thanks in advance
