For those companies or persons who prefers MS Messenger for Mac for their communication needs... new version up for download
MS Messenger Version 5 for Macs released It's akin to giving you a hammer to hit yourself over the head with, but ever-lovin' Microsoft just released MS Messenger 5 for the Mac platform, but what the hey. You're all mostly adults here anyway, right? Looks like a facelift, mostly, even if they claim it's a whole new design, but it's nothing like iChat. Get it, if you dare, here. Whoops! Sorry, I didn't see it. :broken: I actually looked into the Heads-Up & Others forum and when I saw it wasn't there, posted it up. Didn't realize it was in the iApps forum. And it was pushed out of the Latest Posts page already by the time I logged on. Sowee again! Underscores the need to use the Search function once more.
and whats the difference between MS Messenger and MSN Messenger... cuz i tried upgrading it and it didn't notify that theres already a application and would i like to replace it to the upgraded version :qmark:
i dont find anything different from the older version. looks like they only upgraded the skin, but i might be wrong i didnt really check it that much hehe am too happy with adium.
polar mac, i updated mine and it spotted my old msn messenger and replaced it... it did take a while though. i thought it crashed, but left it for a bit... when i got back to the computer, it said it had spotted my old version of messenger. after installing, i checked my hd and found that the old version was gone already...

cant we email yahoo... or perhaps make a signature campaign asking then to update their YM for mac? just an idea hehe
A friend from France introduced me to a Mercury Messenger, a chat app that works with msn. Quite cool actually 'coz you instead of buzzing (in Yahoo), you can do a "nudge" where your chatmate's window will shake to get their attention. You can do tabbed chatting, draw a doodle, play games with your chatmate like Tic Tac Toe, and has a webcam feature as well.
