mp4 to jpg or any image format

    Im having a hard time looking for a free sofware that can rip or convert a clip from a mp4 file and make it an image file. Something like imtoo video converter but free

    Any links where i could find one? Thanks in Advance :D

    you can try mpeg streamclip...
    download it here: http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
    just open the mp4 file on mpeg streamclip, scrub to the frame that you want to export as an image then choose file>export frame or just press shift+cmd+F then choose the image quality etc. :)

    although it is possible to export a frozen video frame to jpeg in quicktime, i sometimes capture the screen (Command+Shift+3 or 4) and crop it in preview. exporting video to still image format is also a common practice for motion graphics.

    A little update to this topic, I am using mp4 to jpeg converter from Converter365. I am also using it for my work so it is a good converter.

    There are also other free converters out there but I personally prefer this one.
