It is nice to have a tablet with a MAC system running on it. But I think this particular piece of equipment is going to be a bloody pain in the pocket

I think it would be too heavy and too hot to be used tablet style.

does the macbook heat up the way the mbp does? just curious. :)

  5. Mine does. I have a 2ghz Core 2 Duo white macbook. I'm not sure if mine is normal but it heats upto 85c when I encode videos. Does anybody know if that's normal?

    More photos here.

Personally, if it were lighter and thinner (and didn't heat up nga - though, if it's on battery I don't see that as being much of a problem) I'd want one.

Expensive, but looks really good. 2500 USD is quite a lot.

For that kind of money I would rather get Cintiq 12WX and a Black Macbook for the same amount of cash!

I don't like the idea of looking down on a screen. If one props it at an angle, it makes for awkward writing ergonomics. The concept works for light handheld machines but not for a 13" screen machine. Let's learn from the demise of tablet pcs.

Thinness for me is desirable. I want a conventional clam shell Mac but with perhaps two touch screens. One being a monitor the other being a keyboard/trackpad proxy. Complete with all the Ipod Touch eye candy tumblers and other innovative virtual input graphical interfaces. All of these of course in a nice thin package.

Guess the use of a notebook stand/riser also helps.

    whoa, my post is missing.

    take 2:

reviving this thread since it finally came up in the recent MWSF

retails for $4999 or have your macbook pro converted for $3049

the article says they have wozniak as advisor, i wonder why apple didn't include this as one of their own (or say, why they didn't include this on their product line-up), are they trying to see if there is a market for these?

    you, thanks or no thanks?
