Even Dana White voice out his disappointment for the win of Nover at his twitter.
When my friends got lower box tickets, I was hesitant at first to join them because of the expensive ticket. But what the heck, how often would UFC come to manila anyway? And definitely a lot cheaper that watching abroad hehe. Plus after watching the farewell fight of Munoz, it was definitely worth it!
Agree with the others that Nover should have lost that fight. Must be because of homecourt advantage hehe
The wrestlers ( wieidman & DC). Dominate.
i miss Bones' octagon mastery already. those guys were pretenders, too one-dimensional. don't get me wrong, i've respect for their hardwork, and i think they have better characters off the mat then Jon, but as a fan of MIXED martial arts, there's no better "epitome" of that than Jones. get your act together, man! UFC fans need you, you polarizing figure you
Arlovski vs Brown was the brawl of the night
UFC 187 was badass! I felt bad for Huffa and Uriah. Weidman totally dominated Belforterone and I did not expect Rumble will be submitted like that. I want to see Khabib and Dos Anjos soon.
I really wish Jones hadn't messed up the way he did. After he'd beaten Rumble (and I'm pretty certain he would have), a superfight with Weidman, who has pretty much cleaned up his division, would've been the next probable step.
Not yet. Jacare and Rockhold are still next in line. And a superfight in the HW division is a more sound idea for Jones. He would wreck Weidman.
^^^I can't imagine either Jacare or Rockhold beating Weidman. Of course, Jacare could catch him in a submission, or Rockhold could land a lucky punch, but more likely, Weidman takes both down and finished with GnP just like he did with Vitor. Neither of the two has the speed or power combination needed to defeat the champ.
As for Jones destroying him. . . well that's the likely scenario. But Weidman is a huge middleweight, Jones" size and strength advantage won't be as big as one might think.
Weidman can take a punch. Those punches that vitor unloaded are usually enough to end a fight. Weidman weathered those as if they were nothing. Yeah he's a big middle weight. Perhaps it's time to go up to LHW
Jones fought much stronger men than if he will weidman. From the last one Cormier who threw down a lot of heavyweights before transferring to lhw.
I agree weidman will be destroyed if e fought jones. Jones has an 84.5 inch reach. weidman has a 78 inch reach almost like texiera at 76.
And history shows that if you can't reach jones you get destroyed.
The only one who came close was the tall guffstafson. Who got owned on the championship rounds. But he can reach jones due to his height advantage.
The really annoying thing is that all this Jones vs Weidman talk will remain academic until Jones works out his legal problems. And the way things are looking, it may take years. Weidman has said in the past that he's open to moving up to LHW, so maybe we might we see him take on Cormier or Rumble some day soon. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-c...-moving-light-heavyweight-171509116--mma.html
But he'll have to take on Rockhold and Jacare first, I guess.

I hope the fight will be competitive. There'll be a constant threat of a takedown once Fabricio even tries to land one of those.
Let's see how Cain's long lay off match against the momentum of Werdum.
I predict a lopsided victory for Cain via dirty boxing plus GnP.
Cain looks sloppy and tired!
Wow. Huge upset. Werdum submits Velasquez.
Trainer of the year. Rafael Cordero. He guides RDJ to UFC Lightweight Championship, now Werdum to the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
Wow! What a fight by Werdum and that guillotine choke was perfectly timed. What next? Werdum vs JDS
And yes Cain looks rusty. He was not the Cain who mauled JDS twice
