    Hi,

I have not check Trash though. In case its gone, any ideas how to get it back?

@benzng: Is it deleted from the dock? Just open up your Applications folder, click and hold System Preferences and move it to the Dock.

Copy a System Preference App from another machine and paste it to your Apps Folder. It should work fine.
