Hi! I'm proud to announce MindMash, the first Pinoy-made app for the iPad.

MindMash is a free brainstorming & note-taking application for the iPad. It allows users to create an ideas mash-up by combining and manipulating text and images on the iPad in a visual and free-form manner.

MindMash turns the iPad into a canvas of ideas for students, bloggers, writers, designers, and other creative individuals. Users can add text and images (called 'bits') to a sheet or several sheets and use these bits to compose visual outputs for personal or professional use. It aids in the creative process by making use of a free-form layout for the sheets as well as helps in efficiently organizing thoughts and ideas by allowing users to easily edit bits of data.

    With MindMash, you can:

    • Easily add text and images to a sheet
    • Resize images and adjust text area through pinching
    • Replace images and text by double tapping
    • Drag around bits of data to manipulate layout

MindMash is a canvas for your ideas.

    * The initial version of MindMash supports only text & image bits. Future versions will add support for more types. *

Feel free to check out the official website for more info. You can also follow MindMash on Twitter for updates. Thanks!

I encountered a problem when I chose the Zen(?) mode. When launching the app, it would show the launch screen and exit.

Is this a fresh install, or did you upgrade from a previous version? Also, does your app have data already when you chose to change themes? Some users report that reinstalling the app fixes similar issues, but I'll definitely be tracking down this bug since I haven't been able to reproduce it yet.

It was a fresh install. Had some data as I was trying it out. And yes, I reinstalled it but I maintained the default theme.

    Hope this helps.

    Great looking app.

Any tips for an aspiring iPhone dev? I've gone through the free iTunes U stanford courses, although I'm curious as to what practices you follow, your thought process and your development cycle. Any chance you could PM me? :)

    Sorry for the topic derail.

No problem. The thread you're looking for is MERGED: PhilMUG iPhone developers Roll Call; you can also check out the Google groups cocoaheads-manila. I'm still organizing a meet-up for current & budding Pinoy iOS devs, we can discuss your questions there. :)

Congratulations for such a wonderful app. This would pe a perfect replacement for my "Book of Ideas" notebook. I literally have a notebook where I jot down ideas whenever something comes to me so I don't forget :p Anyway, one thing I noticed. I tried to resize the text using the pinch to resize gesture and it expanded the text box. However, on several tries it crashes the app. Just my obesrvation. Thanks again for this!
